Practice Problems
- A wheel, I = 4 kg·m², ω = 3 rad/s, torque τ = 5 N·m applied for 2 s. Find ω_f.
- Figure skater spins with ω = 2 rad/s, I = 3 kg·m², arms in I = 1.5 kg·m². Find ω_f.
- Disk I = 6 kg·m², τ = 4 N·m, t = 3 s. Find final angular speed from rest.
- Rod, I = 5 kg·m², τ = 10 N·m, t = 1 s. Compute angular acceleration and final ω.
- Flywheel I = 8 kg·m², ω = 2 rad/s, torque applied 3 N·m for 4 s. Find ω_f.
- Wheel spins at ω = 5 rad/s, friction torque 2 N·m applied for 3 s. Find final ω.
- Disk, I = 4 kg·m², torque 6 N·m, t = 2 s. Find angular acceleration and angular displacement.
- Skater, I = 2 kg·m², spins at 3 rad/s, pulls arms in to I = 1 kg·m². Find new angular speed and rotational KE.
