Introduction

Welcome to Tklesson. By accessing or using our website, mobile app, and related services — including Live Tutoring, Self-Study Tools, and School Infrastructure (collectively, the "Service") — you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Who We Are

Tklesson is an education platform offering three products: Live Tutoring, a marketplace connecting students with qualified tutors; Self-Study Tools, a subscription platform of quizzes, flashcards, and exam simulations; and School Infrastructure, a licensed platform for schools and institutions. We serve students, self-study learners, and institutions from elementary school through university and beyond, primarily across Canada, the United States, and Nigeria, with a network of subject matter experts.

Use of the Service

• Students under 13 years old must have parent or guardian permission and supervision to use the platform.
• Students aged 13-17 require parent or guardian consent for account creation and payment processing.
• You agree to use the platform only for lawful, educational purposes across all academic levels.
• You may not use the service to harass, harm, or impersonate others, or to upload harmful content.
• Parents/guardians are responsible for monitoring their children's use of the platform and sessions.
• All users must maintain respectful and professional conduct during tutoring sessions.

Live Tutoring: Booking and Payment

• Sessions are booked exclusively through the student dashboard after tutor matching.
• Payment is processed securely through Stripe (Canada, US, and other regions) or Paystack (Nigeria) for all package and credit purchases.
• Session credits must be purchased before booking any tutoring sessions.
• Pricing is displayed in your local currency (CAD/USD or NGN) based on your selected region; applicable taxes, if any, are shown at checkout.
• Session credits are valid for 6 months from the date of purchase.
• All bookings are subject to tutor availability and require credit availability in your account.

Self-Study Subscriptions

• Self-Study Tools are offered on a recurring subscription basis, billed monthly or yearly.
• Payment is processed securely through Stripe (Canada, US, and other regions) or Paystack (Nigeria).
• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle unless cancelled beforehand.
• You may upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your subscription at any time through your account billing portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• Pricing is displayed in your local currency (CAD/USD or NGN) based on your selected region; applicable taxes, if any, are shown at checkout.

School Infrastructure Licensing

• School Infrastructure is licensed to institutions on a tiered basis according to enrolled student count, billed monthly or annually.
• Payment is processed securely through Stripe (Canada, US, and other regions) or Paystack (Nigeria).
• Annual plans are billed upfront; monthly plans renew automatically each billing cycle unless cancelled.
• Institutions may request a change in tier as their enrolled student count changes; fees will be adjusted accordingly.
• Pricing is displayed in your local currency (CAD/USD or NGN) based on your selected region; applicable taxes, if any, are shown at checkout.
• Institutional agreements may be subject to additional terms set out in a separate service agreement.

Refund Policy

Live Tutoring

• Full refunds available within 72 hours (3 days) of purchase if no credits have been used, minus a 10% administrative fee.
• After 72 hours or if any sessions have been booked, all sales are final.
• Cancellations made more than 24 hours before a session incur no cost.
• Cancellations made less than 24 hours before a session will be charged the full session amount.
• If a tutor cancels within 24 hours, they must provide a makeup session at no additional cost.
• For emergencies where a tutor cannot conduct a session, we'll immediately assign another qualified tutor.

Self-Study Subscriptions

• Subscription fees are non-refundable once a billing period has begun, except where required by law.
• You may cancel at any time to prevent future renewals; access continues until the end of the paid period.

School Infrastructure

• Institutional licensing fees are non-refundable once a billing period has begun, except as otherwise agreed in a separate service agreement.

Intellectual Property

All content, lessons, materials, and designs within the app are the property of Tklesson and may not be copied, distributed, or repurposed without permission.

Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the Service if users violate these Terms, misuse the platform, or act in ways that harm the learning environment.

No Guarantees

While we strive to provide high-quality tutoring at all times, we make no guarantees regarding academic performance or outcomes.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms occasionally. Continued use of the Service after updates means you accept the new Terms.
